On my many journeys I said goodbye to the standardized, all around the world similar tasting, hotel foods. Whenever at all possible I searched for small restaurants, the further out of the tourist areas the better, to eat at and had the pleasure to eat real home-style cooked meals. Some very good dishes are only regionally known (at least at some point in history). Unfortunately this book would become to thick if all the wonderful German recipes would be included, so I only can give you a small selection of them here. However, enjoy cooking them and even more eating these dishes.
